We live in a small apartment in NYC, and I didn't want a traditional 5:1 surround system with speakers jammed in all corners, wires, etc. I got excited when I saw the various soundbars offered by various brands, but they all stretched far longer than I wanted to deal with and would have had to have been wall mounted, another thing I wanted to avoid. So after a bit of searching I ran across a review that placed three ZVOX systems at the top of their ranges. Which led to further research on the ZVOX site and I found the perfect solution in the 320: a soundbar in a pedestal that the TV sits on, and which doesn't extend off the edges of the table! Apparently the 320 is a relatively new offering, replacing the older, boxier 325, which seems to have received high marks. So I gave it a chance and it arrived yesterday. First off, the unit fits perfectly and discreetly under the TV's built-in pedestal and disappears. It's nicely styled, attractive in a slightly retro way yet looks fresh and contemporary. No junky lights or buttons but a very clean front. Nothing stays lit for more than a few seconds when powering on or changing a setting with the remote, a feature I love.
